How to find Power in Community, Together

TEDxCarrollUniversity is a signature university event that brings unique ideas from students, faculty and keynote speakers to the Pioneer family and community beyond.

This year, our theme is “Strength in Community.” Our TEDxCarrollUniversity speakers will share a variety of stories about how communities can lean on each other for support, in good times and bad. Together, we’ll examine how we can unite to find strength in celebration, but also during moments of grief or loss. We notice that things start to shift when we choose to approach them together, as a community.

Our Story

A true Pioneer, Carroll University is Wisconsin’s first, four-year institution of higher learning. Grounded in the liberal arts tradition and a leader in the health sciences, Carroll has prepared students to live a life of purpose and meaning since 1846. As proud members of the Waukesha community, Carroll continually seeks to provide meaningful experiences for our neighbors. With the inaugural theme of "Strength in Community," TEDxCarrollUniversity aims to inspire others to think creatively about some of humanity's fundamental concerns and thrive through sharing these ideas.

What is TEDx?

A conference for big ideas, dreamers, innovators and creatives.

In the spirit of ideas worth sharing, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection within a small group.  Ultimately, TEDx is a new program that enables local communities, such as universities, to organize, design and host their own independent, TED-like events.
